Addendum to Draft of Club Bylaws
A draft of proposed club bylaws was distributed last week with a request for suggested improvements. As a result, the following text has been added under Article 10, Section 8, Membership Types:
"c) Inactive Membership - An active member becomes inactive either at the initiation of the member or by the action of the Leadership Team. An inactive member cannot vote and cannot be elected to an office. 1. A member writes a letter to the president with the intention of resigning from the club. If the member is in good standing with dues payment, the secretary shall advise the member of other options such as leave-of-absence. 2. The Leadership Team can move an active member to inactive for failure to pay dues, failure to attend meetings, disruptive behavior at club meetings, or performing unlawful activities."
It's Back by Popular Demand
Members' names who have submitted their quarterly dues payment as of October 1 will be placed in a drawing for twenty (20) dollars of Secretary Sandi's money. Good luck to all.
October 23 is Make-A-Difference Day
Saturday, October 23, is National Make-A-Difference Day. Make-A-Difference Day brings community service to a whole new level each year. Organizations join forces on the fourth Saturday in October to make a difference, big or small. Watch for Service Chair Jeff Shannon and Kristin Sholl for announcements of opportunities for our club members and their friends to participate.
